I just spent two days here in Oslo at a seminar called visuelt with the theme of fast forward//rewind.
Overall I thought the first day was the best! Eike K√∂nig from Hort based in Germany gave a very honest and inspiring story of the history of his studio. Joel Lewis from www.hellicarandlewis.com and www.yesyesno.com was very enthused about all new ways of interaction and projection based technology. Siggi Eggertsson from Iceland had his whole speech in a computer voice (very strange!) – not to say his illustration work wasn’t interesting. One more worth mentioning is Joshua Hirsch from Big Spaceship – he talked a lot about making real time for personal projects within his company. I am now officially inspired! See a comprehensive overview here!
Here is really nice motion piece by onemoreproduction that creatively references some of the classic games in history.
Thought I would share this amazing Macro universe by clemento.
I remember working with Simon back in the see.com.au days. Stumbled across his fantastic work.
I know its the new latest cool thing, but I just can’t get enough of it.
Here are a few nice examples of tilt shifting. And of course Bathtab T below!
Very nice sounding youtube collaborative project by Darren Solomon from Science for Girls. Nice Fender Rhodes MK1 (just like mine).
Another interesting use of new media from radiohead – live camera switching!
This is the first nice interactive narrative using video I have seen for a while.
It reminds of the days of DVD programming and all the times I had ideas of creating a ‘choose your own adventure’ style movie.
Nice full screen feel as well!
Here is some amazingly beautiful high-speed footage. Parroquet showcases a body of work by fashion photographer S√∏lve Sundsb√∏, comprising eight film shorts and a selection of photographs. View website
A little bit belated, but I always wanted to give these sites a mention.
It just proves that a smart idea can go a long way!

In Radiohead’s new video for House of Cards from the album In Rainbows, no cameras or lights were used. Just data. Amazing!
Google Code is hosting the Data Visualization
application and providing an iGoogle gadget. Explore the data through a
3D viewer and use your mouse to further manipulate the data and create
your own visualizations.
This interactive piece was made by Aaron Meyers and Aaron Koblin using a modified version of PV3D. For more info click here.
